"It's Free Therapy Day!! That's right, it's Thursday, which means it's the Thank You Very Much day. The way it works is that you take out all your frustrations on people/things that peeved you off during the week and thank them in a very sarcastic way, for being who or what they are/doing what they did."
1. To my body...once again you remind me that I'm not as young or fit as I used to be. I appreciate the massive headache I got after working in the yard just a little too long. I really wanted to go to that wedding Saturday evening, but couldn't even think about getting back in the sun with my head feeling like it's about to burst.
2. Thanks to me for drinking so much water on Monday! I drank 4 of these all day, including one after dinner!
And, since I drank a whole one after dinner, I was up twice during the night, which I never do. It kept me from eating, though.
3. To my wonderful husband: You were such a big help Saturday morning when I was digging holes for the plants. What a great suggestion you had for buying a new post hole digger when I was done. (Disclaimer: My husband told me I could say anything about him, and yes, he does read my posts!) (Another disclaimer: I was PMSing like crazy, so I think he thought he'd best just stay out of my way and let me do it my way.)
4. To my girls: It was such a delight to be waken up this morning at 5:30 when I have my alarm set for 6:30. Not that I need an alarm since you both seem to be so excited for me to start my day earlier than I really want to. I guess when nature calls, you've gotta listen.
Go visit KMama, link up, visit some people, and get ready to laugh at others' expense! It really is great therapy for a Thursday!
What's a girl to do? Linda needs a break, so I guess I'll take it easy on her. I mean, I'm sure it's really hard to come up with 12 questions every week. And, with it being summer vacation and all, I'll let it slide.
Okay, so, now what? Hmmmm....OH. I KNOW! I'm going to be completely random, but I don't know if it will be a dozen; more like a half-dozen. Here's some random stuff that's been going on around the house:
1. One of my measuring cups:
If you don't have at least one of these, you must go get one. My mom got a 1 cup and a 2 cup for us one Christmas. We just kind of looked at each other, and my oldest sister said she thought mom had really lost it! It turned out to be one of the best presents I've ever received! No more squatting or bending over to read the numbers on the side of the cup!
2. Hummingbirds...where are you? We actually saw one a couple of days ago, but, as it was going toward the feeder, husband saw a bee hornet close to me, and he told me. I looked down, shook my arm, but it didn't go away! So, being a girl and all, I screamed and ran around the porch. Needless to say, the bird flew away, and I haven't seen it back since. Guess it wants to stay away from the crazy lady.
3. I saw this reason for having clover in the yard:
Sorry for the poor quality and the moving of the camera! Here's a still picture:
Again, sorry for the poor quality. My camera does great...sometimes. We used to see rabbits all the time in the yard: we used to have a thicket in between our yard and the houses behind us. But, someone bought the little rental houses, fixed them up, and tore down the thicket. There is a bit of space in between both yards that actually belong to the city: there used to be an alley there. Anyway, we have an area in our yard that we don't do anything with: it's full of honeysuckle and who knows what else. That's where the baby bunny came out of.
4. I made an 8 Minute Light & Fruity Pie: It's a summer-time treat at our house. So easy to make, and you can use sugar-free jello and fat-free or light cool whip:
I need to get some mulch to spread out so it will look nicer, but at least the plants are IN! There's still a small patch of dying/dead weeds that I need to pull.
I also got really brave and planted a few flowers in my planter on the front porch. I had been using fake flowers, but decided to be really courageous!

6. Tough decision:
Yep, another season of "Hell's Kitchen" started last night! Perfect summer reality show! I know, I know...Gordon Ramsay can be quite the jerk, but the man knows what he's doing. Hell's Kitchen won out since NCIS was a rerun. What was the deal with the guy with the Hell's Kitchen tat? I'm thinking he's really going to be ticked off when Gordon eventually tells him off. If you watch the show, you know it's just a matter of time. Does that guy not know? That tat is permanent.
Did anybody see "Real Housewives of New Jersey" Monday night? I fell asleep and missed the first 50 minutes. Caught the rerun last night, though. The last 10 minutes confirmed something I already knew: Danielle is loco. Not only that, but she is definitely an attention hogger.
Last thing: Karen over at Karen's Korner gave me an award! I'm so happy to be getting to know Karen through blogging...she's a special person! The award originated at Jeannie's Happy World.
The Happiness Award
(According to Jeannie)
This happiness award will be given to five bloggers, every Sunday! (Every Sunday, unless of course I get sick, I forget or the Rapture occurs!!!) Those five bloggers will then pass it on to five bloggers. This special award will be given to bloggers who truly have happiness in their hearts and pass that on to everyone they meet, and everywhere they go. They know that happiness is a choice, and always choose wisely. Always looking on the sunny-side of life, and keeping their sense of humor, these bloggers are a joy to read!!!

Time again for Tuesdays Unwrapped. Time to take pause and notice things...they may be little or not. Something that makes you say "thank you"; some gift that you may have been given that you may have otherwise overlooked.
Last Tuesday I wrote about Daily Mass and my "revelation" about one of the priests. I hate to repeat myself (but, maybe not because I'm going to!), but I've gotta talk about Daily Mass again.
Last week I went to several different stores looking for either a dress or a skirt and blouse to wear to a wedding on Saturday evening (but I ended up not going ...thanks to a headache). In every store I went to, people were friendly, making eye contact, saying hello, and smiling. This never happens to me in the mall. And, to beat it all, I found 2 skirts and a sweater...all on sale! Each item was under $15. Again, this never happens to me! As I was checking out at one store, I found these really cute earrings:
I'm really glad I can wear cheap earrings...I got these for $3.98! I was so excited, and the saleslady was, too! This just doesn't happen to me, y'all! Thank you, CJ Banks!
I'm not saying that God helped me out with the stuff I bought, but it is really weird how all of a sudden everybody is making eye contact with me, smiling at me, and speaking to me. Maybe it's just a change in my attitude last week...I don't know. But, I didn't speak to anybody first...they spoke to me. Coincidence? I think not!
Hope everybody has a good Tuesday, and don't forget to smile and say "hi" to a stranger!
