1. Many of our earliest presidents created words or expressions widely used today. Teddy Roosevelt is credited with mollycoddle, pack rat, frazzle, and loose cannon...which of those words/phrases currently relates to your life in some way?
None of them. Well, maybe mollycoddle but it would be with my dogs.
2. Have you visited many (or any) of the US Presidents homes, monuments, libraries or related sites? If so what's been your favorite? Are there any you particularly want to see? Here's a link to presidential sites listed by state which is kind of fun to read-Presidential Places by State. And since several bloggers who participate in the HP each week live outside the US, here's a link to Presidential Places Outside the US. Have you seen any of those?
3. February 20th is National Cherry Pie Day...will you celebrate? Given your choice of cherry pie, cherry cobbler, cheesecake with a cherry topping, or black forest cake which would you choose?
Well, I will now! Black Forest Cake would be my choice. There is a chocolate cake that uses cherry pie filling that is delicious. And easy.
4. Last time you worked a puzzle of some kind? Something that had you puzzled recently?
I work a jigsaw puzzle on my tablet every day. There are so many things that have had me puzzled...too many to name!
5. Of the early blooming flowers (January-early March depending on your zone) which one's your favorite?
snowdrops, lenten roses, pansies, violets, snapdragons, reticulated iris, crocus, winter jasmine
Do you have any of these in your own yard/garden?
6. Insert your own random thought here.
I've got nothing right now. I just posted my last Ireland post on Flyin' the Coop so look for a version of it here soon. Then I can move on to the next adventure!
Our lenten roses aren't blooming yet, but a neighbor told me hers opened up yesterday so soon I'm sure. Ahh, the dog! Yes, definitely mollycoddled, but not by me. He has hubs wrapped around his little paw. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteOhh! You have to mollycoddle your dogs though. hehehe
ReplyDeleteBlack forest anything is my choice too! So delicious!
ooh you've been to Ireland!!! that is on my bucket list along with Scotland and England. I've been to France and Italy and SO long to get to the United Kingdom. One day....once husband retires.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your answers!! I think this is my first time on your blog!
I chose Black Forest cake too, it so delicious and I find it hard to just indulge in one piece. Jigsaw puzzles on tablets sound fun I will have to take a look at that.
ReplyDeleteI'll go over and check out your latest Ireland post when I'm done here. I really enjoy seeing Lenten Roses. Hope you have a day that isn't puzzling. :)
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your answers and will go and read your ireland post. How fun. I realized I wasn't sure what a lenten rose was then saw that I know it as a Hellebore. :) I used to do puzzles on my tablet but then stopped for whatever reason.
ReplyDeleteA trip to Ireland sounds amazing!! I hope to do that one day! I enjoyed your answers and hope that you have some black forest cake soon (that was my choice as well!)
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed those presidential places you visited. I like you picture shacking with JFK! Glad you like black forest cake. I don't think I have ever tried it. Glad you are working on puzzles. I need to do that. Hope you have a nice weekend.
