Shocker of a Hodgepodge

Joyce asks the questions, and we provide the answers. See how others answered at From This Side of the Pond.

1. Did you watch the Super Bowl? Did your team win? What's your favorite game day snack for  whatever sport is happening?

I didn't watch the game until the very end. I got stuck binging The Way Home on Hallmark so I could be ready for Friday's new season and since I let my Hallmark+ subscription go, I needed to watch it.

I was absolutely shocked when I turned the game on and saw the score. I wanted KC to win because I have no ties to Philly. I'm not too picky when it comes to snacks.

2. What's your 'superpower'?

To be able to completely ignore what needs to be cleaned around the house.

3. Will you do anything special on Valentine's Day? If so do share. Any thoughts on/about this particular holiday? Share a favorite verse or quote relating to love.

I've never been a fan of Valentine's Day...I think it's the dumbest "holiday" ever. That being said, I usually watch the movie Valentine's Day. It's one of those movies like Love Actually where the characters are all intertwined.

4. Are you a fan of the rom-com genre? If so what's one of your favorites? If you're not a movie go-er then what about a book you love that features a great love story? How about a favorite love song?

I've been watching a lot of Hallmark lately. If you know anything about my favorite movie, you know what I'm about to answer: The Holiday. But there's also PS I Love You, which is high on the list. For oldies, An Affair to Remember has to be the winner. What a classic!

5. Let's get creative...write an acrostic using the word L-O-V-E.

Looking forward to traveling again
Over roads and in the sky.
Various places to see...
Europe is calling me!

I'm not sure if it was supposed to be about "love", but traveling is my love right now!

6. Insert your own random thought here.

I'm almost finished with my Ireland Adventures from 2024 and I'm feeling a little overwhelmed by what else I want to write about. I will say this: I love revisiting my visit to Ireland from last April and it has me excited about my next planned trip to that beautiful country. If I could only find a way to move there...

  1. I like your superpower-ha! I like your acrostic and it fits with what you are enjoying in this season. We've never made a big deal about Valentine's Day here. It's really just an excuse for me to eat my weight in conversation hearts. Have a nice week!

  2. Hi Mary, I'm late in returning your visit for the Hodgepodge but I'm glad because I see your Ireland post above and I will read that next. I love to travel, too. I just finished up posts on our trip to Scotland last September. I love your acrostic!
