Today's item is "Presents wrapped under the tree". YS needed to get another pair of black slacks and a few other things, so CH, YS, & I headed out to town. I hadn't bought the first present when we left, so I took my camera along "just in case". We went to Arby's for lunch, and here's what I saw:
YS got what he needed, and we headed home. I found something for each of the boys, and CH bought something that I had been looking for since we left London. I wrapped the boys' purchases, and mine, then put them under our tree:
A few people commented that they wanted to see our tree. So....here it is:
YS did a pretty decent job, especially since it was his first time. I put some of the ornaments on, but decided not to stress out and put all of them on. I also made a couple of decorations that I had seen in some different places:
Day 5 is "something warm and tasty". What else would I have besides something from Starbucks?
Starbucks is having their "12 Days of Gifting" with a special each day. Friday was a special on the 1 lb. bag of Christmas Blend Coffee. Who knew that if you used your gold card you got a free tall drink of your choice when you bought a bag of coffee? Sunday was a special on a mug; I chose the white one in the picture. The DC mug was a gift last year from my SIL.
I used part of my gift card for today's purchase. My drink of choice today was a Gingerbread Latte, my usual during Christmas.
As I was taking a picture of the few gifts we have under the tree, I had to snap a picture of Ally, my little princess:
Come on, y'all! It's not to late to join Susan and her photo challenge!
O Tannenbaum
Today's picture prompt from Susan is "THE Christmas Tree". As of right this minute, YS (God love him) is putting up the tree. So, I took a couple of pictures of trees that I saw today. YS participated in Tuba Christmas, then we went to the big town for lunch and to go to a new sporting goods store. When we were leaving from lunch we saw a tree lot:
And, someone had just bought their tree(s):
The Tuba Christmas Participants played this song:
(the audio isn't that great because I used my cheapo camera to video it!)
After going to Susan's to link up, I saw the title for her post and had to laugh...we have the same title again! I promise I didn't copy her today!

Makin' a List
I thought I was being clever with my post title, until I went over the Susan's blog and saw her title, which is exactly the same. No, I will not change it, and yes, that's probably where I got the idea!
Susan has provided a list of 25 items to find and submit a picture. I have a cheap, cheap, cheap point & shoot, so don't use not having a decent camera as an excuse not to play along!
Today's item: "A List". I'm pretty organized at work, but I don't really make lists. The only list I usually make is my grocery list. I use my calendar to make notes of things I need to do, but I just don't make lists.
I looked around school, and didn't see any hanging on the walls. I talked to a kindergarten teacher, and she said they don't do lists for Santa anymore since the paper has stopped printing them. What to do? I went to the librarian and asked if she had any lists. She gave me the funniest look; I told her I thought I'd just throw it out there and see what she came up with. She had plenty of lists, but none pertaining to Christmas. So, she pulled up a list of Christmas books on the computer:
That's not cheating, is it? :)
