Fragmented Friday
~ TGIF! It's been a busy week, which is good because it made the week go back fast!
~ I've gone 5 days with just a "smidgen" of sugar. I already feel better.
~ Our tickets for "The Hunger Games" have been bought! We're having to wait until Sunday since YS has a WinterGuard/Drumline competition on Saturday, and there's no way I'm going to see it opening day. Our "twin city" has a brand spanking new theater that just opened last week.
~ MS has been on spring break this week, and has spent the week working on campus. He knew better than to even think about asking us if he could go anywhere this year!
~ There was an amazing sunrise on the way to work this morning, but I didn't stop to get a picture. It was still dark, but you could see the sun just starting to rise on the other side of the mountain. The sky was an amazing pink color.
~ This is going to sound crazy, but our gerbils are being "potty trained". We got a couple of metal lids, put a little bit of sand in them, and put them in the cages where they appeared to do their business the most. They don't always go in the lid, but they're doing a pretty good job!
~ 1 week down, 8 to go!!!

I always love seeing a beautiful sunrise, it was always my reward for getting up early to work day shift at the hospital.
ReplyDeleteI loved reading the Hunger Games last summer. I am so jealous that my friends in the US can see the movie. In Honduras, it's hard to know when films will come, or even if they will come this way.
ReplyDeleteMy FIL had a potty trained rabbit once.
ReplyDeleteOr so he said - - -
Potty training gerbils, huh? That's a new one on me!
ReplyDeleteIt's been unseasonably warm here, and the sunrises have been gorgeous.
I've just started reading The Hunger Games. Sh! No spoilers! :)
Thanks for linking up. Have a wonderful weekend!
I just love the beauty of a sunrise. No visible sunrise here the last couple of days: rain yesterday and fog today.
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy the Hunger Games. My daughter has been excited about it for awhile now.
ReplyDeleteNo sugar...ut oh. If you took sugar and caffeine out of my diet, I would be dead.
The best part of the morning for me are the sunrises!!! And "Hunger Games"...I've read so much about it online, and have no idea what it's all about. Must do some googling.
ReplyDeleteMy Friday post is: THE 'F' WORDS
Is it not wonderful doing the countdown to summer.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea you could potty train a rodent. Seriously! I love the sunrise!!
ReplyDeleteI bought tickets to Hunger Games on Saturday! I can't wait! I'm proud of you on the sugar. I'm not sure I could do that!
ReplyDeleteI had no idea gerbils could be potty trained! Two of the lovelies have read The Hunger Games and LOVE the books! I don't know if I'm going to venture into the books or the theater on this one. Let us know what you think after the movie!
ReplyDeleteMy husband gave up sugar..he was not always in the best mood while we were traveling. I am SO behind on my reading. I've seen a lot of people buying Hunger Games.
ReplyDeleteI am so ready for summer!!
I was one of the crazy people who went to the midnight premier of The Hunger Games. I managed to grab three hours of sleep before my alarm clock woke me up for school. Yikes!
ReplyDeleteBTW, we have ten more weeks of school. BRING IT!
I see a lot about the Hunger Games, but it all looks too intense for me! I admire anyone who can give up sugar......I am trying to cut back, but man, It's hard!
ReplyDeleteHave to laugh about the gerbils. Never heard of anyone doing that!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your movie. So is that 8 weeks til the end of the school year?
So what did you think of the movie? We saw it today and it was intense! I thought they did a great job, but I have decided I liked reading it better because I can kinda skim the scary parts.
ReplyDeletePotty trained gerbils? Will they be playing musical instruments next?? :)
ReplyDeleteI really think I could maybe possibly go without sugar too. But those two mini-twix bars were so darn good!
Best of luck to you Mary!
I'm going to have to cave and see what the Hunger Games is all about... My oldest is reading it at school. And liking it!
