Back to School

YS' last first full day of high school was yesterday.  Where did the time go?  I was going to look for a picture of his first day of Kindergarten, but didn't get around to it.  I'll have to put that on my "to do list" for tonight and post it tomorrow.

In our house, we don't let the first day go by without singing this song:

Guess that will be the last time I'll get to sing that song for them.  From here on, they'll be the ones torturing me with it!
Today & tomorrow are "optional" professional development days, then we're back "for real" on Monday.  Yep, it's definitely "Back to School" around here!

  1. Forgot about that movie! Funny!!

Did it feel weird with his first day of school? It probably feels like yesterday when he was in Kindergarten!

Best wishes to you on your new school year. We start on Monday as well. Where did the summer go? I feel as though I just ran a marathon through the entire summer! Playing keep up or catch up the entire time :)

Let us know if you get that blogging job at the conference.

  9. We don't start until after Labor Day -- but we get out later too, I know. In Germany the different states stagger the dates so everyone isn't "machen zie urlaub" at the same time (vacation).

Hope this is YS's BEST year ever.

  10. i go back on the 8th, will miss that Friday so i can go to West palm and attend my 40 year class reunion. The kids come on the 20th....the Bureau of Tourism managed to get that one passed without much effort. We were scheduled to start on the 11th....now we only have a long weekend instead of fall break week and we get a week and a day for Christmas. :-P
