Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. The Wednesday Hodgepodge this week falls on John Chapman's birth date.  He's more famously known as Johnny Appleseed...what's your favorite variety of apple?

2.   When did you last say 'ick'?
I'm not sure, but I'm guessing 7th grade???

3.   Do you think there's a generation gap?  Explain.
I don't think there's as much between my generation and my kids' as there was between my parents' generation and mine.

4.  What's on your computer screen saver?  Do you leave it alone or change it often?
I have pictures from my picture album that's on my computer.  I leave it alone.

5.  If you had the attention of the entire world for two minutes, what would you say?
Grow up & get some morals.

6.  Four fashion trends to try this fall are-brocade/jacquard (fancy printed fabrics), peplum, lace, and printed pants...which of these four would you be most likely to wear?
Okay, I had to look up peplum, and I'm still not sure what it is.  I'd say lace because all of the others would make me look bigger than I already am.

7.  What can make your bad day better?
A call from any of my boys "just because".

8.  Insert your own random thought here.
Check this out:
We finally got our new phones at my mountain school!     You know, you don't realize how much you use the phone until it's not there.

  1. Congrats on your new phones? : )

Hmm...grow up seems to be a theme in answers to #5 today. If the shoe fits...

  2. Have to agree with you on #5. ;-)

I love my slide show screensaver ... sometimes I could sit and watch the picture scroll by.

So what did you think about last night's NCIS?

  3. I like your answer to #5.
And, unfortunately, I am right there with you on the fashions that don't suit some of our bodies.

  4. Yeah on number 6 none of them appealed to me for the same reason. Good answer to number 5 too.

Have a great day and I hope you get a call from one of your "boys" just for the fun of it.

  5. I thought phones would go out of style because of the cell phone. Good to see they still exist.

  6. haha - you're straight forward, arent ya!... youre answer to #5 made me laugh.

Maybe because I hang around 7th graders is why I still say ICK :)

  7. Phones definitely are a big part of our lives. My hubby didn't have a cell phone when we first started dating, in 2004. The first gift I bought him was a cell phone. Now he couldn't live with out it. He even forwards calls from the office to his cell when we leave for the day and by doing this he can work a home if need be without missing a call.

  8. Wow, a phone with a cord. How strange is that?

  9. Your way of telling the world to grow up was much nicer than mine. :) My fashion sense is non-existent.

  10. When I get a call or text, even an email, from one of my nieces it makes my day. :)

  11. Okay, your 7th grade response made me LOL! Call from your boys, how sweet is that. Enjoy your new phone.

  12. Love the word ick...but middle school might be the last time I have used it too. I totally agree about the generation gap thing.
