Friday Fragments

Mommy's Idea
Linking up with Mrs. 4444 today!
~  Pumpkin Pie PopTarts.  'Nuff said.

~  Pumpkin Spice Latte to go along with the poptarts = What more could you ask for?

~  Starbucks is donating the first $5,000,000 (yep, that's 6 zeros) to an organization that helps small business owners in the USA get on their feet to keep jobs in the USA.  Donate $5 and get a wristband.  I got mine this morning; have you gotten yours yet?

~  It's the last home game for Small Town High:  the first week of playoffs.  For the first time in 8 years, we aren't the top seed.  In fact, we're the #4 seed in our quadrant.  A win tonight means we travel a couple of hours next week to face #1...as long as #1 wins tonight.  Should #1 lose, we'll have another home game, which is very doubtful!  Looks like we'll have a Thanksgiving weekend without high school football this year.

~  Meetings are slowing down at work...which means I can take a HUGE breath.  October is such a busy month.  Sayonara, October!

~  I'm loving the colors this fall.  I thought they might be kind of dull because we had such a dry summer, but Mother Nature is not disappointing!

~  We finally have a weekend (besides tonight) with nothing on the calendar.  There should be some good football games on tv tomorrow, so you'll know where to find me!

~  Hope everybody has a most excellent weekend!

  1. I was really interested in the bit about Starbucks. Our Sr. Nora works with a number of groups who help small business owners. I emailed her with the information and a link to Starbucks. Can't hurt to check it out! Thanks for the idea!

  2. Our fall wasn't quite as pretty this year because we've had nothing but water in all its many forms all year.

    Enjoy your weekend!

  3. I'm not a coffee drinker, so I don't visit Starbuck's, but I just might have to for the bracelet.

Pumpkin pie Poptart? I'm not a fan of Poptarts, but that sounds like it might be good enough to make an exception!

  4. I love all things pumpkin :). The Man does not :(.

Thank God for Starbucks and their pumpkin scones :).

Love those bracelets - perhaps I should be less anti-social and actually go IN the store instead of always using the drive-thru.

  6. Okay....you teased me...are the pumpkin pie poptarts GOOD? I love pumpkin pie. LOL

And as for Starbucks...I've always lived by supporting the American companies and the small businesses in town. I don't even buy ONLINE for the very same reason. There are too many out there with no jobs and companies going belly up for that one reason...online shopping, and we citizens are not supporting the small family shops.

  7. The pumpkin poptarts were good, but could've had more pumpkin flavor. Maybe they would've been better if I had zapped it in the microwave for a few seconds!

  8. I don't frequent Starbuck's, but that is a very cool idea. Thanks for the head's up!

  9. Tonight is our playoff game...we are playing in Mobile....5 hours away. We were not good enough to play at home. I have not seen pumpkin poptarts. I loved the Starbucks drink...and we are not near a STarbucks...will try and get there this weekend.

  10. Our Fall colours are almost over. I didn't take enough time this year to enjoy them.

  13. I am totally obsessed with the changing trees this year. I can't imagine they're THAT much prettier than other years, but to me for some reason they are. I have been actually driving around just staring at the trees.

  14. We have just a few leaves beginning to turn here. Actually my flowerbed looks the best it's looked since May. My roses are blooming again as well as some other flowering plants. . .Like your wristband!

  15. Someone mentioned pumpkin pie PopTarts last year, and I've been watching for them ever since, with no luck. They sound soooo good!

Quiet weekends are the BEST. Have a good one! :)
