Friday Frags & Follow

Mommy's Idea

~  Wow.  I've done great with getting back into the blogging swing of things.  I skipped yesterday.  Yay, me.

~  Laika went to her 2nd puppy training class last night.  We ventured out into the store with her, and she did quite well.  Especially with all of the smells that are in that store!

~  I manage to waste an hour or two every morning playing Gardens of Time AND Blackwood & Bell Mysteries.  If you like hidden objects games, then this is for you.  Just beware:  they are completing addicting.  I'm just about to have to walk away.

~  I need to start reading some of the books I have on my tablet.  I've got some good ones on there, so I need to get cracking!

~  Have you seen the USA series, "Suits"?  Oh. my.  There's just something about that Harvey Specter!  I'm ready for 14 June when the new season starts.  USA has really brought some good series to tv.   There's a new series that just started a couple of weeks ago that's worth watching:  "Common Law".   Good tv + good books = a great summer!
(This was the teaser for this summer)

~  I went to the vet 2 times this week:  once for Laika, and the next day for Ally's yearly checkup.  She's got a fatty mass on her belly, but the vet said it's not worth putting her under for.  She's amazed at what good shape she's in for being 16 years old.  At least we think that's how hold she is.  We have a picture of her as a puppy, and the date stamp is Jan., 1997.  She was born in April, which would put her as being born in 1996, which would make her 16.  Here's hoping Laika doesn't give her a heart attack or stroke!

~  Have a wonderful, safe Memorial Day Weekend!  Please don't forget all of the fallen service members who gave their lives so we can enjoy the freedoms we have!

  1. How I wish I had taken our two toy poodles to training classes.....they are so bad! We love them, but they are totally spoiled!

  2. I understand your game thing. I used to be like that with Cafe World and Mafia Wars. I gave them up cold turkey several months ago and haven't looked back.

  3. I used to play Gardens of Time (on Facebook), but all the rest of my friends who played it stopped, so I wasn't able to complete anything. I've discovered Hidden Chronicles which is similar. So far I have enough friends playing it that it's still enjoyable.

I've been watching a lot of USA in the afternoons ... they've been airing a lot of NCIS reruns which I've recently discovered. It's been good background noise for while I'm sewing. I've seen the promos for Suits and Common Law. Both look pretty entertaining ... but I don't know if I'll watch them as I just cannot seem to train myself to watch a program at a specific time.

  4. I played Garden of Time too, but eventually quit. You're right it is very addicting.

My dog has a fatty tumor and our vet is planning to take it out. She has to be put under to get her teeth cleaned anyway, so he is going to do both at the same time. Our dog is 10 years old and I thought that was pretty old. But 16. That is awesome!

Hubby and I have been watching Common Law...enjoying it so far!

I too have a bunch of books only they are on my Kindle. I'm trying to do a lot of reading. Love it!

    Have a great weekend!

  5. I have never played those games but I am pretty sure I don't need more games to become addicted to. ahem.

Have a great Memorial Day weekend. I have my mom with me for 2 weeks following her knee surgery so I'm still off my blog game. I'm getting there.

  6. Well... I still play Gardens of Time. In fact, it is only Facebook game I am playing right now. I am trying to hang in with Mystery Manor until I get inspired again. Thus far, not so much.

And my dog is also sick. The doctor worries that she has cancer in her left front foreleg. If so, we might have to amputate her leg. I keep mentally trying NOT to go there until a decision needs to be made. We are waiting on the results of the biopsy. It is very hard when pets FEEL like family.

So, it has been a stressful time. Sorry to hear about the difficulties you have been having with your dog. Hope everything turns out okay.

Funny how we find people. I just dropped in because of Java's Over 40 Link. She says to leave you a link back in case clicking on my name doesn't work. So here it is...
