How about the meatballs in grape jelly? Make up the meat balks, throw them in the crockpot with a hat of grape jelly and voila!
ReplyDelete46??? That's a HEAT WAVE, lol!!! It's soooo cold over here and windy too. I'm just glad I don't have to walk Bella to school here - yay me!
ReplyDeleteI have something I'm making to go with dinner tonight. It's sort of an adapted Pampered Chef recipe. Take two refrigerated french loaf rolls (like the biscuit rolls), and slice them up to make disks. Place on a stone or cookie sheet. Mix taco seasoning packet with softened cream cheese. Add small diced peppers, and/or jalapenos, and/or olives. Spread on disks. Bake for about 10 minutes. They are devoured quickly!!!!
Sure hope you're not getting sick...this is not the time for that to be happening, is it? Sounds like it could be a sinus infection, so watch it closely! It's getting colder here, too...YIPPEE! ;)
ReplyDeleteThat recipe above that Queenie Jeannie sent sounds good. You try Pinterest too. I've found some good recipes there.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better quickly so you can enjoy yourself this weekend.
Here's a simple, but delicious app recipe. People always ask for the recipe and it's almost embarrassing to give it because it's so easy.
ReplyDeleteI make mine in a quiche pan because it's pretty, but use something similar in size.
Spread one 8 oz. package cream cheese in pan.
Top with one small jar of pesto.
Top with one small jar of chopped sun dried tomatoes.
Sprinkle toasted pine nuts over all.
Serve with crackers. It is delish and the colors of Christmas!
It was 21 here this morning ... I think that's the coldest it's been so far this winter. Sure wish we would get some snow.
ReplyDeleteI concur - try Pinterest for appetizers. I pinned this: http://tidymom.net/2011/chicken-enchilada-puffs-recipe/ - using the smaller crescent rolls. I've never made it, but it sounds good.
P.S. Sure hope you're not getting sick. Take care of yourself ... and YS, too. ;-)
ReplyDeleteQuick, easy, and "every guy loves" recipe...meatballs. Buy a large frozen pack at the store and put into crock pot. Sauce is a bottle of Heinz Chili sauce (near the ketchup section) and a jar of grape jelly. Found the recipe on allrecipes last year and it was a hit! Not sure if I put it on my Holiday REcipe page on my blog. Guarantee that the men will eat it up :)
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better. I know sinus infections can be tough... & HURT!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's 47 here now, but was only 18 when I woke up! I complain when it's cold and I complain when it's hot. What can I say?!
ReplyDeleteAre you on Pinterest....it's the best for recipes! Hope your feeling better soon. I have to make my shopping list too, thanks for reminding me.
