Breaking into the Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. Share a favorite song, book, or movie title containing the word green?
Green Acres came to mind right away. Who remembers that show?

2. Ralph Waldo Emerson is quoted as saying, 'Shallow men believe in luck. Strong men believe in cause and effect.' Would you agree? Are you a believer in luck?
Even though I use the word "luck/lucky" quite a bit, I'm not a strong believer in luck.

3. Spring water, Hot Springs, handspring, spring fling, spring break, spring fever, offspring...which 'spring' word best applies to something in your day, week, or life right now?
Spring Break! I can't believe it's halfway over already!

4. What's something you do to make yourself look or feel more confident?
I'll dress up. Not like "evening dress" dress-up, just not my usual khakis!

5.  It's National Celery Month...are you a fan? If so, what's a snack or dish you enjoy that calls for celery?
I can take it or leave it. I really like peanut butter & celery.

6. What's one thing you wish you'd learned sooner?
To be myself and not worry about what other people think.

7. Would you like to own a second home? If so where would you want that home to be?

Nah, not really. Of course, if I had someone to come in and clean both of them, then that would be a different story! If I had another home, I would choose The Keys.

8.  Insert your own random thought here.
I'm seriously thinking about going to see "HOME" when it comes out in a couple of weeks. First off, Jim Parsons is just hilarious. Second, this clip cracks me up every time I see it:
I'll probably be the only adult who is watching the movie without a kid!

  1. A second home on The Keys would be nice!

I have come a long way in not caring what others think, but still have a little way to go to get there 100%

  2. We talk about going to Fl for a few weeks, but you can always rent something, and then not have the aggravation of ownership. Hope you're having a nice break! It is winter here-so cold this morning-ugh. The calendar says spring will be here on Friday but my weather app shows a snowflake. NOOOOO!!

  3. I, too, have made progress on just being myself, not caring what others think ... but I still have times where I have to fight that battle. Oooooh, a second home on the Keys? Fabulous!

  5. That movie does look cute! I think you would be surprised; could be lots of adults in there :) I do remember Green Acres; I'm singing the theme song in my head as I'm typing this :) So true about not caring what others think of us; it does take a while to get there, but worth it when we do! Enjoy the rest of your spring break!

  6. The Keys sound heavenly! :)
I also like celery with PB, but i haven't had that in a real long time. I don't like when the celery gets all stringy and hard to swallow.

  7. I remember Green Acres and I loved their theme song. PB and celery is a favorite of mine too. Great answer to #6! I'm thinking of seeing Home also and mainly because of Jim Parsons. I always see kids movies along....go back to your answer in #6 and don't worry about it!

  10. That movie....I love the music part in the car....where he says his hands are in the air and he just does not care. I may have to go see it too. Our Spring Break does not begin until Palm Sunday weekend. We will be staying around here....I am preaching on Monday at a local church and Frank is preaching on Wed. and we both love attending Maundy Thurs services. Hopefully it will be lovely weather.

  11. Your number 6 resonated with me, I still struggle with what people think of me. Silly.
