Thankful Thursday

Thankful Thursday
I'm joining Rebecca at Knit by God's Hand  for Thankful Thursday

This week, I’m thankful for…
…sisters. Yesterday, one of my sisters & I drove a couple of hours up the road to spend the day with another sister.
...traditions. One of the best memories of one of my great aunts is kolache. My Aunt Frances used to make the best kolache in the world. Me? I'm afraid of yeast. My sister got together with one of our cousins & they spent the day making kolache. So yesterday I got schooled and totally feel like I could make them now.
...texts. Yep, texts. While we were at my sisters, we were texting with another sister (I have 5, remember?) who couldn't be with us because of a little thing called "work".

What are you thankful for this week?

  1. Sisters, there is nothing quite like them. I have been blessed with 2.

What is kolache? I've never heard of it, but I must say it looks good in the picture.

I hope you have a blessed day, Mary!!

  3. I am so jealous of people with sisters!!! ... you all resemble each other! The smiles?
I've never even heard of kolache. But it looks delish! Is it a German recipe?
    Thanks for linking up friend!

  4. I'm thankful for my sisters, too. You are blessed to have a couple of them close enough for visits more often. Mine live 5-16 and 18 hours away. :(

  5. You and your sisters all have the same beautiful smile! I'm ashamed to say that I don't know what kolache is. You're afraid of yeast? I'm kinda scared of baking in general...all the precise measuring puts me over the edge!!
This week I'm thankful for my sweet husband and for a roof over my head; it's been raining for 3 days and I don't like to be wet!
