Meet Me on Monday

Once again, Java is giving us the opportunity to learn more about our blogging friends by answering 5 little questions about yourself!  Here are the Q & A's for this week:

1. What is your favorite sandwich?
Peanut butter & jelly!  Especially if it has bananas on it, but I don't have it very often because it gives me indigestion!  (Yes, getting old really, really stinks!)

2. What is stashed under your bed/mattress?
I'm glad this question popped up this week instead of at the beginning of the summer!  I actually don't have anything under my side of the bed.  I'm not saying anything about husband's side, though!

3. What is your favorite flower?
Jonquil/Daffodil.  I just love seeing them for the first time...they are signs that warmer weather is on the way!

4. What is your favorite magazine?
Well, I'm not much of a magazine reader; there's just way too many advertisements in them.

5. How often do you weigh yourself?
If I'm trying to lose weight, I'll weigh every day, but remind myself that it doesn't count except for 2 days!

Help us get to know you better by answering the questions, then going over to Java's to link up!

  2. No magazines? I'm a magazine junkie. Even though I know they pretty much all have the same things in them, I'm drawn in by the covers. It's a sickness.

  3. LOL at the weight not counting except for two of the days.

I have a bunch of stuff under my bed right now. We're finishing our basement, so nothing else can go down there right now, and I've had to get creative on where to stash stuff.

  4. The other day I was weighing myself at the gym and freaking out a little. I turned around and this woman (a complete stranger) burst out laughing...she had stepped on behind me. She said, "Sorry-I couldn't resist" I guess it was funny but my heart missed a few beats.

  5. On the magazine question my answer would be too many to choose from. I do most of my mag reading on line but will stop and read some at the library or Barnes & Noble. Someone got me Time magazine this year and most of its content is already posted on line before the issue comes. Time is also very political on every topic which makes you question their intent of the article. Anyways, enjoy the day in the Ozarks. It will be hot and muggy here even after rain moves through this morning.

  9. I only weigh often if I think my weight is in "the good range". I haven't weighed in quite a while. *blush

I love me a pickle loaf sandwich with fresh tomato & sweet onion on it. Yum!! But, I also love me a good PB & Banana sandwich too!

  15. Intriguing. My fav sandwich is a BLT; I HATE peanut butter!
Under my mattress is nothing, but under the bed are a short wooden crate filled with ancient copies of Life and Look magazines, a pull out slidey shelf with various other magazines and puzzle books, and hopefully my other good houseslipper, coz I can't find it anywhere else.
Fav flower is the rose. Pink.
Magazine is Renovation Style. It's the only one I'll pay full subscription price for.
Like you, I weigh myself every day when I'm dieting. When I'm not? I just pretend scales don't exist, then I panic when I realize I will be weighed at the doctor's office. Oh, the horrors!

  16. Deb at Jeremiah 29:11 left me a comment that I posted, but, after thinking about it, I deleted because she put a piece of personal information in that I wasn't sure we wanted to share with everybody!
If you haven't already visited her, go see her!

  17. 1 - I'm with you on the PB&J - just not the bananas.

4 - I love "Real Simple" yes, there are lots of ads, but it has useful, short articles

  18. I love cooking magazines but don't buy them. I check them out at the library. I do have to get the current month's copy a month late but I can wait. :-)
My husband hardly goes a day without having a pb&j! Me? Not so much. BLT is my fave! Oh my! :-)
