Anybody else having a hard time getting in the "blogging mood" after the holidays? Thank goodness we have Joyce to get us going!
1. What three words would you use to describe 2010?
Exciting, fast, interesting.
2. If fear were not an issue what is something you'd like to try?
Riding a motorcycle.
3. What do you add to your coffee or tea?
The better question would be "What coffee or tea do I add to my creamer?"
I really like the flavor creamer, especially the gingerbread or hazelnut.
4. What historical sporting event would you like to witness?
The "Miracle on Ice": When the USA Hockey Team beat the Russians in the 1980 Olympics. How incredible would it have been to have actually been there?
5. What is one piece of advice you would like to give your sixteen year old self?
Believe in yourself and be comfortable with who you are.
6. Are you a planner or do you prefer to fly by the seat of your pants?
A planner. Definitely.
7. What is one thing you are looking forward to in 2011?
Getting our bathrooms remodeled!
8. Insert your own random thought here.
I saw this really cool wine decanter; I think it's the neatest one I've ever seen:
Like it? It's on sale for $339.95 at the Kraft Store. I'm not sure I like it that much at that price!
Oh how funny...we were at a dinner party just before Christmas and our hosts had that decanter! Tim and I both said we wanted it...course you need really fabulous wine to pour from something like this but it was so pretty on the table.
ReplyDeleteNext year I have my brother and sister in laws name for Christmas and they are big wine buffs. I'd love to get this for them but will have to watch for it to be marked down at some point...here's hoping!
Great advice! Hazelnut... A girl after my own heart. Tastes great in chi tea from Starbucks. ;)
ReplyDeleteWe're finishing up a bathroom remodel right now - haven't identified the 2011 remodel but I'm looking forward to it!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! I haven't visited since the new year began. I enjoyed reading your answers. Girl, get on that motorcycle and take a ride! LOL
ReplyDeleteThat wine decanter sets me in mind of those interesting long oriental tea pots...they can pour from like four feet away. Don't know what they're called though... Smiles!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE flavored creamer too! I was very disappointed when Starbucks told me on Sunday they were out of the gingerbread flavor for lattes. And of course I can't find gingerbread creamer in any of the stores I shop regularly!
ReplyDeleteI would have to drink a lot of wine to feel like that decanter was worth the price. lol. It is pretty though. Enjoyed your answers. Hope you had a great Christmas and New Year.
ReplyDeleteuntil next time... nel
Bathroom remodels are so exciting!! I'm excited for you.
ReplyDeleteI really like your answer to the question about advice for your 16-year old self! It's something I can really relate to. Like most things in life, however, I guess that awareness of and belief in self comes with age and experience. I'm still working on it!
ReplyDeleteCan't start the day without some delicious creamer!
ReplyDeleteLove that decanter...so is it on sale??????
Great list. How exciting to have the bathroom remodeled!
ReplyDeleteSo....are you afraid to ride on the motorcycle or drive the motorcycle? It's a blast either way. Course you know I prefer to be on my own. lol. Great advice. 2010 definitely flew by at the speed of light. Thanks for sharing. Blessings, SusanD
ReplyDeleteIt was fast! I agree, my coffee has to be pretty white in color. My grandmother would make us coffee milk when we were young and that's how I like it! That's a pretty expensive decanter just so your wine can breathe.
ReplyDeleteIf money were no object, I would definitely have one of those decanters. However it is....and I won't...unless I miraculously find a deal. Love it!
ReplyDeleteMary! HAD I done the Hodgepodge this week, that would have been my answer to "my 16-year-old" self, too! I'm so thankful to at last be comfortable with myself and have a confidence that only life and experience can bring. Oh, to be 16 and have the maturity that comes with age, hm? :-) BUT I wouldn't go back to being 16 now! Huh-uh.
ReplyDeleteGood to see you back blogging! Happy New Year!!
Remodeled bathrooms? Very exciting! You can celebrate with that gorgeous decanter. :)
ReplyDeleteStay off motorcycles--my brother was killed on one. Your fear is reasonable.
Love it...and my event was the hockey miracle on ice. I would so loved to have been there.
ReplyDeleteAre you talking driving the motorcycle or riding on the back? Driving one is not something I would try, but being on the back is no big deal--as long as the person you're holding onto knows what they're doing! We just got rid of our bike a few months ago. Hubby misses it, but me--not so much. I work too hard on my hair to squash it with a helmet!
ReplyDeletei love that decanter- there must be a similar one somewhere for a lot less money (and maybe even better quality?).
ReplyDeletei'll let you know if i find it :)
What do you teach? I found the part about the r's interesting. Yeah- that wine decanter is really cool but William Sonoma and Sur la table have an even better one for like half the price!
