Yesterday, one of the first grade teachers stopped me in the hall and told me what was going on in her class. Apparently she has one little boy with an amazing imagination. He told her that he was tired because there was a full moon over the weekend, and he turned into a werewolf. Then, she told me that apparently there was a werewolf party over the weekend, because her students started to chime in that they were all werewolves, too. What's a teacher to do? This teacher turned it into a writing exercise. The students wrote in their journals about the party. It was very cute.
I don't know if this is being creative or just some boys being bored: when I got home yesterday, YS told me that "they" had done most of the things on the list that I had given him that morning. "They" would be YS and a couple of friends who were at our house yesterday afternoon. I'm not sure what he's going to do today. I guess he'll have to be creative and find some way to be productive!

I love it when kids are imaginative!! Bella keeps me in stitches with her stories, lol!
ReplyDeleteHow do you know they aren't werewolves?
ReplyDeleteMy daughter was creative like that coming up with the most crazy stories, but she would always point out that it was "just a story". Mine's a Bella too :)
ReplyDeleteThat must have been some party! I wish someone would come over and do the things on my list.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh!!! The imagination of the little ones AND the creativity of that teacher!
