Blame It On The Rain

Whew!  I think the worst of it is over.  Yesterday was overcast and rainy at times, but nothing like it had been for the past 2 days.  Yesterday, CH & I just checked on the trouble spots about every hour.  I've heard of a lot of people with water in their basement.  The forecast for tomorrow:  rain in the morning, changing to snow in the afternoon with an accumulation of 1-3 inches here and 5-10 inches in the mountains.  Translated, that means it may or may not snow here.  I'll believe it when I see it.

This is a "creek" next to the elementary school.  Usually the water is no where near the bridge, and the creek is about 1/5th the width.  The ducks are enjoying it, though!

We've been out of school for the past 2 days, and I hate to be greedy, but I sure would like 1 day when I can relax with mindless tv, reading, and maybe a nap or 2!

    Yikes! I hope you dry out soon! Supposed to maybe snow here today (D.C.) but I think mostly further south of the city. We're north. I think it's supposed to hit almost 50 tomorrow so whatever falls won't hang around long.

    WOW...that's a LOT of water! Be safe out there! No end in sight to the rain we're getting here. I'm serious...it's been pouring for 3 solid days, I believe! Where, oh, where is the sun?

    I would so trade you for that rain water. I am really worried about our future. Maybe another dust bowl the way we are dry.

    It rained for DAYS here too... the sun came out for the first time today!! AHHH - it still exists!
