The crack in the basement floor bubbling:
(The Beverly Hillbillies' theme song ran through my mind, as well as the word "geyser"!)
This is a "creek" next to the elementary school. Usually the water is no where near the bridge, and the creek is about 1/5th the width. The ducks are enjoying it, though!
The next pictures I stole from a friend's FB are courtesy of a friend's FB. These are not far from my "mountain school".
We've been out of school for the past 2 days, and I hate to be greedy, but I sure would like 1 day when I can relax with mindless tv, reading, and maybe a nap or 2!
Yikes! I hope you dry out soon! Supposed to maybe snow here today (D.C.) but I think mostly further south of the city. We're north. I think it's supposed to hit almost 50 tomorrow so whatever falls won't hang around long.
ReplyDeleteWOW...that's a LOT of water! Be safe out there! No end in sight to the rain we're getting here. I'm serious...it's been pouring for 3 solid days, I believe! Where, oh, where is the sun?
ReplyDeleteI would so trade you for that rain water. I am really worried about our future. Maybe another dust bowl the way we are dry.
ReplyDeleteWow! Now that's a lot of water!! Hope you get that rest day soon.
ReplyDeleteIt rained for DAYS here too... the sun came out for the first time today!! AHHH - it still exists!
ReplyDeleteWe need rain. Can you send just part of this our way!
ReplyDeleteYay for snow days and dry basements! Both are seriously underrated.
