Nothing Too Deep

Java from Never Growing Old has decided to take a break, so there won't be a "Meet Me on Monday" today.  : (  So, let's catch up on some tv and not get into any big, deep topics,  shall we?

I haven't been watching much trash tv lately.  I forget to watch American Idol when it's on, but when I do, I really, really like the chemistry between the judges this season.  I didn't watch last season; even though I love Ellen, I just didn't think she was a good choice since she wasn't a singer.  I'm not a big Steven Tyler fan, but I'm liking how he seems to have such a big heart and will belt out some notes here & there.  JLo is just really sweet, but she's all business when she needs to be. Randy is the big dawg, for sure!
I completely missed the whole "Real Housewives of Atlanta" this season, too.  I caught some episodes here and there on weekends.  NeNe is still my favorite.  I think I could hang out with her, as long as I didn't make her mad!  Did anybody watch the "Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills"?  I wasn't going to watch, but did see it when they had the "marathon" on.  Kim Richards is really flaky.  And Camille...I agree with Kyle on this one:  she is delusional.  Taylor really needs to consider getting that lip implant removed.
This isn't what I consider "trash tv", but has anybody seen "Harry's Law"?  It's the new show with Kathy Bates as an attorney.  If you haven't seen it, it's worth watching.  The only thing is that it comes on Mondays at 10:00, so I usually fall asleep halfway through it.
Another good new show is "Off the Map", but I can't ever remember when it comes on.  One of the actors played on 'Friday Night Lights' as Matt Serecen.   It comes on Wednesdays, but again, it's at 10:00.  Why is it the good shows come on that late?
Have you watched any new shows lately that are worth watching?

  2. Me and my addictive personality have only recently discovered NCIS. Hubby has gotten on board and we watch it all the time. Apparently, it's on just about every day on one channel or another. Not much into "reality" TV, though I do like the AI auditions.

  3. Sadly I did get hooked on Beverly Hills...I love LIsa! I have never watched the NY housewives or the Atlanta Housewives.

I like the judges on AI...not sure how I feel about the contestants yet : )

Its is pouring snow here today. I'm trying to find the silver lining but wow, its a downer to wake up to 8 inches of snow and still falling fast. We actually saw blades of grass around town this weekend.

I don't know what I am going to do without MMOM. Is it true that Heather is taking it over?

  5. Were you like me, and caught totally off guard for a Monday post??? I had no idea Java was quitting blogging. I hope someone will decide to carry on with the Monday hop!

As for television--I, too, like "Off the Map" and Kathy Bates new show. I've also been watching Hawaii Five-O.

    Have a great Monday!

  10. I am loving American Idol this year!! The crew of judges is great!!

Last week, my son and I watched the new Criminal Minds series. It looks very promising!!

Amazing Race started last night, and it has the runners ups (and others) from previous seasons, so I think it's going to be a fun show to watch this season.

Oh, and who can forget about Survivor?? New season with Russell and Boston Rob. Woo Hoo!

  11. I used to like NeNe too...but she turned into a big ol' butt head this season. Really. I was siding with crazy wig woman Kim!!!!

  12. I like Harry's Law, too. But I try to catch it on Saturdays when they rerun that week's show at either 8 or 9. All the other shows I like from USA channel are on the internet so I catch them on the computer or on Saturday or Sunday morning.

My favorites are still Survivor (there is someone from SW VA on it this season) and NCIS (still have a date with Mark Harmon at 8:00 on Tuesdays!).

My favorites from USA are White Collar and Fairly Legal.

  13. I am so sad that I can't watch American Idol. It's the only bad thing that I've encountered since we have moved. We don't have cable or satellite. Sad sad sad...
